Sebbene i segni pi\u00f9 evidenti si osservano su braccia, gambe e viso, quasi tutte le ossa del corpo sono coinvolte. Una radiografia (diagnostica per immagini) o un test genetico possono essere necessari per confermare la diagnosi. In altri casi, viene diagnosticata solo dopo la nascita.<sup>2<\/sup><\/p>\n                    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div id=\"acf-block-64a7e7da3e408\" class=\"block wrapped-content bg-band block-zero-top block-zero-bottom\">\n    <div class=\"wrapper\">\n        <div class=\"inner-wrapper\">\n                \n<div id=\"acf-block-64a7e7da3e441\" class=\"block-wysiwyg\">\n            <h2>L&#8217;acondroplasia inizia dalle ossa<sup>5<\/sup><\/h2>\n<p>Le ossa iniziano a crescere gi\u00e0 in fase prenatale (nell&#8217;utero) e continuano a svilupparsi fino all&#8217;et\u00e0 adulta. Il processo avviene nelle placche di accrescimento, nelle quali l&#8217;organismo produce cartilagine che viene poi sostituita da tessuto osseo.<sup>6<\/sup><\/p>\n<p>I condrociti (cellule della cartilagine) si allineano per formare nuovo tessuto osseo. Questo processo viene denominato ossificazione endocondrale e avviene in quasi tutte le ossa del corpo. I recettori a livello dei condrociti regolano il processo attraverso l&#8217;invio e la ricezione di segnali.<sup>6<\/sup><\/p>\n    <\/div>\n\n<figure id=\"acf-block-64a7e7da3fca5\">\n    <div class=\"image image-rounded image-align-left\">\n                    <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/achondroplasia.biomarin.com\/it-it\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/18\/2025\/05\/acho-bone-img_new-1.png?v=0.110\" alt=\"\" \/>            <\/div>\n    <\/figure>\n\n<div id=\"acf-block-64a7e7da3fcee\" class=\"block-wysiwyg\">\n            <p>Alcuni segnali, come quelli provenienti dal recettore NPR-B (e&#8217; il principale recettore del peptide natriuretico di tipo B), impartiscono alle ossa l&#8217;ordine di crescere.
